Dangerous Goods

Dangerous goods are the substances that apply to more than one class/division defined in the "United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods." The recommendation defines dangerous goods into nine distinct classes and several divisions within.

Please select from the categories below to read more about each class and its divisions.

Hazard of high pressure and ignitable by ignition. source if leaking.
Leakage:Reposition container to minimize leakage or contact with other cargo if you can do it without risk.
Check that valve is tightly closed.
2.2 RNG Non-Flammable, Non-Toxic Gas RNG
Compressed gass, Fire extinguishers, oxygen (gaseous).
Hazard of high-pressure cylinder.
2.3 RPG Toxic Gas RPG
Hexafluoroacetone.(Cargo Aircraft only) In case of leakage of contents or heavy damage to the container,Leave the damaged packages intact and keep away from them.

6.2 RIS Infections Substances RIS
Infections substances such as hepatitis or polio vircs (not vaccine). In case of leakage of contents or heavy damage to the container,
1. Leave them damaged package intact and keep away from them until assistance of qualified personnel is available.
2. Notify public health authority, etc. through the airport authority, flight operation and cargo traffic sections of the company at the landing airport.

7 : Radioactive Substances

Class/Division Code Description Label Example Emergency Action
7 RRE Excepted Package of Radioactive Materials RRE
Radioactive materials in limited quantities, instruments, manufactured articles etc. This category has extremely limited external radiation and does not require distance separation from persons and animals. In case of leakage of contents or heavy damage to the container,
1. Leave them damaged package intact and keep away from them until assistance of qualified personnel is available.
2. Notify the airport authority, flight operation and cargo traffic sections of the company at the landing airport.
3. A person who gets in touch with the damaged package must wash hands with the neutral soap or water. Clothing which get in touch with the damaged package must be removed and disposed into the plastic bag.
RRW Radioactive Material Category-Ⅰ White RRW
Varied radioactive medicines and radioisotopes
Category Ⅰ has limited external radiation(0.0 Transport Index) and does not require distance separation from persons and animals.
RRY Radioactive Material Category-Ⅱ Yellow RRY
Varied radioactive medicines and radioisotopes
Category Ⅱ has moderate external radiation (up to 1.0 Transport Index) and requires at least 1 foot separation from persons and animals
RRY Radioactive Material Category-Ⅲ Yellow RRY
Varied radioactive medicines and radioisotopes
Category Ⅲ has external radiation over category Ⅱ(over 1.0 Transport Indexes) and requires regulated separation, according to the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations

8 : Corrosive Substances

Class/Division Code Description Label Example Emergency Action
8 RCM Corrosive Material RCM
Hydrochloric acid solution, sodium hydroxide solution.
Corrosive to human skins or metals.
Leakage:Corrosive liquid leakage is not catastrophic, and cleanup and neutralization is best accomplished on the ground. Avoid contact with the skin.
