U.S. Air Cargo Advance Screening (ACAS) program

Please be informed that the Air Cargo Advance Screening (ACAS) program went into effect on June 12, 2019, requiring the submission of advanced air cargo information on shipments arriving in the U.S. from a foreign country as follows.

Requirement of the Air Cargo Advance Screening (ACAS) program

Applicable Shipment

All cargo destined to or transiting through the United States

Mandatory Information Elements

Following information is required on AWB & HAWB

Airway Bill & House AWB number
Shipper name & address (a valid street address with city/province, country and postal code)
Consignee name & address (a valid street address with city/province, country and postal code)
Total pieces
Total SLAC pieces(if available)
Total gross weight
Cargo Description (generic cargo descriptions should be avoided)

How to get approval by ACAS program

(1)MAWB/HAWB information provided by customer is sent through Airline's system as FWB/FHL electronically to US CBP
(2)CBP send back the screening result to airline
(3)Airline check the screening result of each shipment(※) 
(4)After confirmation of the permission, Airline will build up the cargo onto ULD
Non-permission cargo cannot be loaded onto US bound flight

Request for cargo information to comply with ACAS program

Please provide ACAS data in one of the following way;

Submitted to CBP by airline

(1)Provide cargo Information(FWB/FHL) to ANA and Comply with time limit of AWB Acceptance
In order to load cargo on booked flight, we might have to contact you depend on the each cargo permission. Thank you in advance.

(2)Correct Information of MAWB/HAWB required
If you don't submit any cargo information in timely manner, it might be possible to offload your shipment.
To avoid risk of any delay / refusal / penalties, please ensure that the goods descriptions are complete, detailed and accurate.


Submitted to CBP by Self-reporter (Direct filer)
Please submit the HAWB data to CBP in advance and confirm that received "SF: Assessment complete" responses from US authorities without problems before deliver the shipment to ANA.
The indication of "(Name of Agent) has transmitted ACAS data directly to U.S. authorities" must be entered in the Handling Information column on MAWB.
If you received a *PER/PSN message from US authorities after the shipment delivered, please notify us as soon as possible.

ANA might charge to you for penalties and fines imposed on us by the US authorities if it is arising from customer's negligence.

 

《Indication on MAWB》

In case of directly transmitting ACAS
(Name of Agent) has transmitted HAWB ACAS Data directly to U.S. authorities, and has received SF approval without any problems.

In case of directly transmitting both AMS & ACAS
(Name of Agent) has transmitted HAWB AMS/ACAS Data directly to U.S. authorities, and has received SF approval without any problems.

Other

(1)The contents of cargo information submitted by customers will only be used transportation purposes. We will not disclose the information to third parties without your permission.

(2)Please contact local ANA Sales staff for the data transmission charges.
(3)ANA will not be responsible for the delay, refuse or penalty from customs caused by the customers' false entry or incorrect data transmission.
(4)In order to follow this program smoothly, please provide the cargo information electronically (FWB/FHL) as much as possible.
