Announcement for IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) 58th edition

Please be informed that some handling procedures are changed in accordance with IATA DGR 58th edition effective January 1st, 2017 as following

1. Extracts of revised items and correspondence
● About Overpack requirement (DGR 2.8.4 List of Operator Variations NH-06)

The following red underlined codes used to designate types of UN packings are newly added from the 58th edition.

  • - Steel Drums (1A1, 1A2)
  • - Aluminum Drums (1B1, 1B2)
  • - Plywood Drums (1D)
  • - Metal Drums (1N1, 1N2)
  • - Plastic Drums (1H1, 1H2)
  • - Plastic Jerricans (3H1, 3H2)
  • - Steel Jerricans (3A1, 3A2)
  • - Aluminium Jerricans (3B1, 3B2)
  • - Plastic Boxes (4H1, 4H2)
Please note that any cargo contain dangerous goods (regardless of liquid and solid) and nonhazardous liquid in the above single packages cannot be accepted and transported unless overpacked.
● About Hazard labels conforming to the specifications of IATA DGR 55th edition
(DGR 7.2.2.3 Label Specifications)
Labels that the width of the line inside the edge forming the diamond are less than 2mm shall not be used. Labels put on our homepage will be updated after Monday, December 19th, 2016. Please be sure to check if label is 2mm in the width by the user when print them from our homepage by the user. Please note that we are not liable for any transport delay etc. by use of not-conforming label.
● About Class 9 [Lithium Battery Label] and [Lithium Battery Mark] (DGR Figure7.3.X / Figure7.1.C)
[Lithium Battery Label] and [Lithium Battery Mark] effective from IATA DGR 58th edition are put on our homepage after Monday, December 19th, 2016. Please see an attachment for your references.
In addition, Class 9 [Miscellaneous Dangerous Goods] and [Lithium Battery Label] in accordance with IATA DGR 57th edition may continue to be used until December 31st, 2018.
2. Effective from
Accepted cargo after Monday, January 1st, 2017

We kindly ask for your confirmation that you necessarily check IATA DGR 58th edition because the above information are not completely covered IATA DGR 58th edition.
