Request for accurate cargo description for shipments to and through China(As of 21Apr)

Regarding the subject matter, please be informed that there have been cases where the cargo descriptions provided by customers at the origin do not meet the requirements set by the Chinese authorities. This has resulted in situations where cargo cannot be smoothly cleared or collected at the destination, and in some instances, stern warnings have been received. This time, we have received a stern warning from the Chinese authorities that they will initiate administrative actions including fines if the requirements are not met.
Since the notice regarding this matter (ANAW No.25-019) was issued in January 2026, several incidents have still been reported each month. Once again, we kindly ask for your cooperation in providing detailed cargo descriptions.

When issuing the Airwaybill and submitting FWB or FHL messages to us, please provide detailed cargo description in the "Nature and Quantity of Goods" or "Shipment Description".
Especially, please be informed not to use unclear cargo descriptions shown in the attached "China Customs General Administration Announcement No. 144 of 2019 Annex 16"
3. Others
- Failure to submit correct information may delay customs clearance and delivery at the destination and may result in fines.
- In case where the submitted information is incomplete or inaccurate, any penalties or additional costs imposed by the Chinese authorities may be charged to the customer.
- We have received a stern warning from the Chinese authorities that they will initiate administrative actions, including fines in case there are any violations after May 1, 2026.
- We also request to provide accurate information including the addresses and telephone numbers of both the shipper and the consignee.
