Changes to the custom clearance deadline for dangerous goods at Guanzhou (CAN) airport

Please be informed of the following restrictions instructed by CAN customs.
We kindly ask you to review the details to avoid a risk such as the mandatory return.
We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
1. Outline
(1)The customs clearance deadline after arrival at CAN will be changed from
the previous "30days after arrival" to "14days after arrival".
*If customs clearance is not completed after 15days from arrival, the shipment
will be returned to the origin airport.
(2)To smooth customs clearance, the following documents are required to
be attached to the AWB.
①MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet),②Packing List, ③Commercial Invoice,
④Sales Contract
*With or without the above documents are not affected whether or not
the shipments can be loaded. Please kindly also note that we will not be
responsible for checking and storing any attached documents.
*In case of e-AWB, please ensure that the shipper and the consignee complete
the confirmation of all necessary documents in advance.
2. Effective Date
Immediately, until further notice
3. Subjected Cargo
Dangerous goods shipments from all airports to CAN
*SectionⅡ ELI/ELM, ICE, and REQ are excluded
4. Reason
Due to the notification and the request cooperation in attaching documents
from CAN local customs
5. Others
If customs clearance is not completed within 14days of arrival and the shipment
has to be returned, and costs associated with cargo storage and return are
determined to be due to negligence on the part of the customer, please note that
we will charge for these costs.
