RE: EU Import Control System (ICS) will go live in all EU Member States (Renotification)

Please be informed that the EU ( European Union ) Import Control System (ICS) will go live in ANA CARGO effective from 01 February, 2011. From this date on, pre-arrival information such as Entry Summary Declarations (ENS) for shipments into the EU must be provided electronically at least 4 hours before arrival. If the required data is not provided, shipments may be delayed, refused or penalized at the EU border.

1. Effective Date
February 1, 2011.
2. Subject Freight
Applies to freight offloaded in the EU as well as to freight remaining on board and carried on to airports outside the EU.
3. Required messages and information
  • a) Following messages and message versions are recommended.
        -FWB message version 16
        -FHL message version 4
  • b) Full name and address of Shipper, Consignee and Notify Party including ZIP/Postal Code, two letter country code and EORI numbers (Economic Operator Registration Identification - to be filled in OCI field if applicable).
  • c) A complete description of goods in compliance with EU guidelines.
  • d) United Nations Dangerous Goods (UNDG) Identifier Codes for specific shipments to be filled in OCI field. Choose one UNDG Identifier Code if there is more than one.
    • i.e.) OCI/GB/AGT/T/ABCD12345678 (EORI Number)
      /B/IMP/M/09GBABCDEF12345675 (MRN Number)
      //DNR//1234 (UN Number for DG)
4. Acceptance
We offer our staff to arrange input In case manual data entry is needed. In this case, please provide extra Master Air Waybill copy and House Manifest copy.
5. Others
  • a) ANA will charge JPY500/per HAWB in case manual data entry is needed.
    JPY150/per HAWB for the data sent from system provider.
    This will only apply to freight originated from Japan. Please contact local ANA Sales
    staff for the EU ICS transmission charges in other countries.
  • b) ANA will not be responsible for the delayed, refused or penalized at the EU border
    made by the customers false entry or incorrect data transmission.
