Announcement for IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) 60th edition

Dear Valued Customers,
Please be informed that some handling procedures are changed in accordance with IATA DGR 60th edition effective January 1st, 2019 as following.


1. Change in transport rules of Lithium Batteries
●Class 9 [Lithium Battery Label] and [Lithium Battery Mark]
 (DGR Figure7.3.X / Figure7.1.C)
 Due to the end of transitional period, Class 9 [Lithium Battery Label] and [Lithium
 Battery Mark] cannot be used for packages containing lithium batteries after January
 1, 2019.             Lithium Label.PNG
●Test Summary of Lithium cells and batteries (DGR3.9.2.6.1 (g))
 As for lithium cells and batteries manufactured after July 1, 2003, the Test Summary
 as specified in the UN Manual Part III, sub-section 38.3, paragraph 38.3.5 of the
 testing method and criteria may be requested to present after January 1, 2020.
 Please correspond and prepare as soon as possible.


2. Change in the form of dangerous goods declaration form (DGR 1.0 / DGR 8.1.6)
●Part of the format of the dangerous goods declaration form is changed. The old form
 can also be used until December 31, 2024 as transitional period. However please
 change to the new format as soon as possible. As for the format of the dangerous
 goods declaration form posted on our ANA Cargo homepage, please refer to the new
 format after January 1, 2019.


3. Specification of the hazard label (DGR 7.2.2.3.2 (a))
●At present, the width of the line inside the edge forming the diamond are more than
 2mm, but this requirement will be removed and after January 1, 2019.


4. Segregation requirement of UN 3528 and Division 5.1 (DGR 9.3.2.1.4)
●The segregation requirement is removed in accordance with IATA DGR 60th edition,
 but we continue to apply the segregation requirement for these dangerous goods.
 Please do not contain these dangerous goods in the same outer packaging and in
 an overpack.


We kindly ask for your confirmation that you necessarily check IATA DGR 60th edition
because the above information are not completely covered IATA DGR 60th edition.
